William Texier was born in Paris. After studying at the National Gemological Institute in France and then at the Geological Institute of America in Los Angeles, he discovered hydroponics in 1985 and became immediately passionate about the method of cultivation. Together with his friend Lawrence Brook , founder of General Hydroponics , he developed aero-hydroponic systems and conducted research at the White Owl Waterfarm in Sebastopol, California.

In 1994, he returned to France and founded General Hydroponics Europe with his wife Noucetta Kehdi .

William Texier is a pioneer in innovation and research in the field of hydroponics. In 2004, he designed and patented "bioponics" (biological hydroponics). Today, he leads Terra Aquatica's research and development department in collaboration with a team of scientists from various departments at the University of California .

He publishes articles in the international press and holds seminars around the world . With over thirty years of experience, he is considered a global authority on hydroponics .

His book "Hydroponics for Everyone" has been translated into eight languages and has also been published as a paperback version titled:
"Hydroponics for Everyone – Ten Keys to the Home Garden, Mini Edition."
